Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of the sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. Psalms 1:1-2 (KJV)
Thought for Today
Walking in good counsel is important. You can get counsel from all over the place, but you must ask yourself is it good Godly counsel. As women of God, what and who we listen to matters. The word of God tells us not to stand in the way of sinners, and not to sit in the path of scornful. We must stand in a godly way being a light in our community, shining light and love on the scornful. And, when we get discouraged from doing good, the word of God tells us to meditate on God’s word day and night. The word of God will transform our mind and we will be able to do “all things through Christ who strengthens us”.
Today my sisters, I challenge you to walk in Godly counsel when all things around you seem ungodly. I also challenge you to walk in love, and to meditate on God’s word.
